Precisamente, durante el periodo de embargo, el ecosistema del Triangulo Mexico-Florida-Cuba se acidifico, perdio corredores biologicos y experimento altas tasas de cancer de piel y enfermedades infecciosas y broncoaspiratorias, en algunos casos, con tasas parecidas a las de Africa y resistencia a los antibioticos, reduciendo la calidad de vida en toda el area caribe, que como sabemos incide sobre Inglaterra y Noruega en el clima, por los excesos de la industria que nunca fueron sometidos al control cientifico e ingeniero por razones de esta geopolitica absurda con la misma mentalidad de la guerra de Troya, mentalidad que tiene paralizadas investigaciones, hace anos, sobre enfermedades mentales, como la ezquizofrenia y el autismo y de las cuales Estados Unidos cuenta con tasas que se incrementan por ano y grandes grupos de riesgo no controlados, ni tratados, y sin instrumentos para detectarlos.
Nos encontramos en medio de un cambio climatico y una crisis economica con escenarios impredecibles.
Yo estoy convencido, que no solo Espana, sino toda la comunidad internacional, mucho mas afectada que Cuba, debe intervernir en la solucion del diferendo y el fin del bloqueo, asi lo exige la seguridad de la vida en el planeta.

Ni somos ciegos, ni vamos a tapar el sol con un dedo por darle gusto a quien sea y pese a cuanto haya de mal hecho en Cuba, todo el mundo sabe que las comunicaciones necesitan: codigo, canal y dinero, y nada se ha hablado del contacto de pueblo a pueblo, nada se ha concretado del correo, nada se ha hablado de los suministros a hospitales y farmacias de Cuba del cual se benefician, usualmente y desde hace anos , practicamente de gratis, miles de cubanos que viven en Estados Unidos cuando viajan a Cuba, nada se ha hablado de los mas de 200,000 cubanos deportables, del regimen de visitas familiares y consulares a los detenidos en ambos paises y la inspeccion consular y de la Cruz Roja Internacional a los presos, nada se ha concretado del intercambio de expedientes criminales sobre cubanos nacionalizados norteamericanos indebidamente,ni de los casos sociales de cubanos en Estados Unidos para su repatriacion, ni del regimen de aduanas que en ambos paises exprime como una naranja el bolsillo del cubano que viaja a Cuba con el sudor de su frente para ver a la familia y en no pocos casos, verse con los medicos de Cuba, de paso, que ya tuvo que pagar el pasaporte mas caro del mundo y que ha pagado un pasaje casi tan elevado como un viaje de ida y vuelta Miami-Londres con hotel incluido.

?Sobre que bases se pueden dar pasos... si ni siquiera un turismo norteamericano financia las comunicaciones entre ambos pueblos y establece los codigos?

Tampoco se ha hablado de la politica de bloquear internacionalmente

El bloqueo a Cuba rebasa todo punto de vista moral y etico acorde con la filosofia judeocristiana heredada del mundo occidental y no tiene ningun apoyo, ni consideracion politica previa para que se mantenga o se negocie absolutamente nada bajo esas circunstancias totalmente inaceptables desde el punto de vista del derecho internacional publico, los tratados entre naciones sobre la jurisdiccion y la independencia, la protecion de la biodiversidad en la Unesco y el comercio en Naciones Unidas.

Acorde con este presupuesto lo que mas lastra a la actual sociedad cubana y establece mas desigualdades y desamparo es que se requieren mecanismos mas democraticos para una mayor y verdadera participacion ciudadana, mas enfoque cientifico critico en los medios de prensa con mayor libertad de expresion, mas opciones para la mujer cubana altamente calificada como se sabe por los indicadores demograficos pero que aun no ocupa el papel que le corresponde, mas proteccion juridica al ciudadano desde el punto de vista de la Constitucion, y, una mayor responsabilidad de todos ante la economia, sin la cual la ideologia se desvanece como un perfume.
Pero, no somos ilusos como en la historia de la mujer del cantaro de leche del cuento del "Calila e Dimna" mandada a traducir por Alfonso el Sabio, hay que tener los pies en la tierra y pesar cada paso que se de hacia el futuro de la nacion.

La filosofia del ejercito rebelde cubano que nacio en la Sierra Maestra durante los anos cincuenta del siglo pasado, se le ensena a todos los graduados universitarios civiles de la isla dentro de las escuelas militares en los centros superiores desde 1975 y es un producto directo de la influencia de la Revolucion Mexicana y su cultura que manejaba la poblacion hasta 1959 como parte esencial de la cultura nacional en los medios, en las librerias y en toda las manifestaciones populares en la isla.

De manera que tendriamos que analizar cuanto no aplicamos e influye sobre la economia domestica con lo que se administra y cuanto podemos ofrecer al otro lado sin alterar cuanto se haya logrado probadamente positivo y util, sobre todo, si tomamos en consideracion el pobre margen conque contamos en Cuba para dar pasos que satisfagan y contribuyan a la posicion de Obama si el propio bloqueo de por si lo impide.

?Si una Nacion pequena y pobre, bloqueada, da un paso, cual es la seguridad que le dan del otro lado, cuales son sus opciones si algo falla, como ya paso en New Orleans con el Katrina, quien garantiza ese grado de confianza bajo condiciones de bloqueo... ?

?Que va a ser de nuestros jovenes, quien se hace responsable de su futuro... si algo desafortunado ocurre... que cuando emigran, ahora, a Estados Unidos,como "solucion", donde en no pocos casos pierden la atencion medica y familiar que tenian en Cuba y derivan en problemas de conducta y violencia como hemos visto recientemente en un terrible altercado en una escuela de Miami donde murio un menor a punaladas, o a Espana, donde se les hace dificil, a veces imposible, encontrar trabajo, los conozco, y se que hay quien vino y hace dos anos y no trabaja, ni estudia y ni siquiera integra el Army, una buena escuela de formacion y educacion en Estados Unidos? .

Hasta el presente, las medidas adoptadas por la administracion de Obama hacia Cuba no han sido otras cosa que maquillar un poco al horrible espectro de Halloween del bloqueo para quitarle un poco el efecto de susto y espanto que provoca al mirarle... no mas.

Estas declaraciones de la directora de la Organizacion Mundial de la Salud, de visita hoy en La Habana,demuestran fehacientemente lo que anteriormente habiamos dicho en este blog, el Sistema de Salud cubano universal y gratis (cubre la salud mental y dental completas) es muy superior al sistema de salud privado en Estados Unidos, tanto por su calidad clinica como por atencion a nivel hospitalario pese a que el sistema cubano carece de recursos, incluso, para la limpieza de hospitales debido fundamentalmente al bloqueo internacional que Estados Unidos impone a la pequena isla y que abarcan productos medicos e Incluso, este insolito e irracional bloqueo de casi 50 anos llega al colmo de prohibir la compra de productos hasta para la limpieza de hospitales.
Contradictoriamente, anualmente, miles de cubanos y cubanoamericanos residentes en Estados Unidos viajan a Cuba a atenderse con medicos cubanos y a proverse de medicinas fabricadas en Cuba de probada eficacia y que solo cuestan centavos.

The powerful ocean current that bathes Britain and northern Europe in warm waters from the tropics has weakened dramatically in recent years, a consequence of global warming that could trigger more severe winters and cooler summers across the region, scientists warn today.
Researchers on a scientific expedition in the Atlantic Ocean measured the strength of the current between Africa and the east coast of America and found that the circulation has slowed by 30% since a previous expedition 12 years ago.
The current, which drives the Gulf Stream, delivers the equivalent of 1m power stations-worth of energy to northern Europe, propping up temperatures by 10C in some regions. The researchers found that the circulation has weakened by 6m tonnes of water a second. Previous expeditions to check the current flow in 1957, 1981 and 1992 found only minor changes in its strength, although a slowing was picked up in a further expedition in 1998. The decline prompted the scientists to set up a £4.8m network of moored instruments in the Atlantic to monitor changes in the current continuously.

Con gran alegria hemos recibido esta informacion sobre la apertura de la colaboracion entre cientificos norteamericanos y cubanos que siempre hemos considerado vital para la seguridad del ecosistema de toda el area caribe y debido a que es la base fundamental del futuro de las relaciones entre Cuba y Estados Unidos, la colaboracion de cientificos y medicos que puedan monitorear la seguridad y la calidad de vida en el caribe.Precisamente, yo considero una necesidad de que las companias norteamericanas participen directamente de la extraccion de petroleo en la region maritima cubana debido a que de esta manera el caudal cientifico norteamericano se vera obligado a monitorear e intercambiar informacion con los cientificos cubanos sobre el control de la contaminacion en las areas de extraccion de petroleo en el caribe, de lo contrario, la extraccion petrolera en Cuba, sin la asistencia de las instituciones cientificas norteamericana apoyadas por ambos gobiernos, puede resultar en danos al medio ambiente completamente irreparables,por inteligencia, companias como la EXXON MOBIL CORP con normas muy altas de seguridad deben ser consideradas para ser incorporadas a este proceso en las costas de Cuba como problema capital del cambio climatico del cual tanto el gobierno norteamericano como el cubano tienen plena conciencia y responsabilidad en el area caribe de cuanto ocurra debido a que el pin que genera la arquitectura de la Corriente del Golfo y que afecta el regimen de inundaciones en Inglaterra y la temperatura de Noruega comienza a oscilar en esa area del triangulo Mexico-Florida-Cuba... Por ello pienso que los cientificos mexicanos deben ser incorporados a este proceso, sin ellos, solamente contaremos con una parte de la informacion... y ademas, considero que es la mejor forma de evitar diferendos debido a que siendo Presidente Fox se alego que los cubanos compartian el mismo bolson de petroleo de Mexico y a continuacion cadenas norteamericanas de television lanzaban programas donde se alegaba que las perforaciones cubanas eran parte de los bolsones en La Florida y solo la ciencia puede delimitar las normas, no la politica, ni intereses economicos en un area de la cual depende el clima de toda la tierra, debemos pues, como gobernantes, actuar con responsabilidad hacia el planeta que habitamos que es compartido por todos...no solo por mexicanos, norteamerianos y cubanos, un individualismo politico irresponsable nos llevaria a todos a un desastre climatico.

Leyendo una informacion en el periodico espanol "El Mundo.es" sobre los codigos geneticos de los habitantes de Islas Canarias, me pongo a pensar en los codigos linguisticos, ese segundo nivel de codificacion con el cual estamos programados por la familia al nacer y que es mucho mas amplio que la codificacion genetica y que la enriquece y la modifica.Los canarios tienen origenes bereber, segun se ha descubierto, con mezcla de europeos, o sea, esa sangre que se mezclo en Cuba viene tanto de Marruecos como de Argelia, aunque, no existe aun una investigacion genetica que diga cual predomina mas en el cubano que tambien se mezclo con otras regiones de musulmanes africanos ya prexistentes en la propia Espana.Tampoco tenemos una investigacion sobre la programacion de codigos linguisticos a nivel de familia, yo siempre fui criticado en Cuba por mi forma de hablar y entonar las palabras y el uso del vocabulario, a veces en mi propia ciudad me confundian con un extranjero, pero cuando llegue a Miami, me di cuenta del problema porque los venezolanos me decian "Pana", y yo no sabia que significaba eso hasta que alguien me dijo que era significaba "companero". Al principio me molesto ser confundido con un venezolano porque yo me decia mi amismo, ?Como es que siendo cubano me confundan con un venezolano?Y es que todo parece provenir del codigo linguistico de la familia de mi padre en el seno de la cual fui educado, mi bisabuela era descendiente directa de Sucre y su familia tenia parentesco con la de Bolivar con derecho a herencia del cual nunca quiso hacer uso porque pensaba que los bienes de los patriotas "no se negocian". Asi me explico mi hablar de venezolano, mas que de cubano, por esta influencia de Espana que viene del gobernador abuelo por via materna de Bolivar, un noble vasco que fue el primer gobernador del Morro de Santiago de Cuba, Cuba.La otra influencia que tengo en la sangre y en parte de mi educacion desde temprana edad es la de mi abuelo, hijo de un oficial de Navarra, alferez de la Escuadra del Almirante Cervera que prefirio hundirse en el mar antes que rendirse y que luego de esa batalla la Marina de Guerra Espanola lo condecorara y le regalara una espada con empunadura de oro macizo.La otra influencia es mi actual esposa, nieta por la parte materna, de un canario de La Gomera que llego a Cuba clandestinamente, cuando la guerra de independencia, huyendo del servicio militar, por la parte paterna la abuela es una aborigen cubana, de las familias indigenas que quedaron en la region, semiaislada hasta 1959, de Gran Tierra, Baracoa, casada con un espanol, y de ahi me nace una hija en Cuba y mi nieta cubanoamericana, nacida en Miami, cuyo padre cubano es descendiente directo de vascos y una rama familiar de Africa. Esas influencias que estan en la sangre y el habla de los cubanos y deciden su comportamiento,la relacion entre codigos geneticos y linguisticos, aun no se han investigado cientificamente, y en cualquier momento, cuando menos nos lo esperemos, si por curiosidad de gato, abrimos la caja de la ciencia, todos nos vamos a sorprender, porque aun realmente no sabemos quienes somos, ni como, ni cuando, aun nos falta mucho para que podamos descubrirnos a nosotros mismos y mirarnos ante la imagen del espejo de Medea.

Al menos en Cuba, bajo un regimen comunista que dista mucho de ser perfecto aun en cuanto a participacion democratica, los militares cubanos si le garantizan a toda la poblacion, sin ningun tipo de excepcion, estos derechos, y mucho mas de lo que ustedes, ahora, si quisieran y tuvieran conciencia del poder, pudieran hacer en Honduras, sin ser marxistas, tan solo con el derecho burgues.

La practica de los militares cubanos demuestra que la democracia solo se consigue con educacion e inteligencia, no dandole palos,gas, ultrasonido, ni rompiendo las manos de un estudiante universitario con la culata de un rifle (por lo menos esto es lo que denuncia, mi querido General, en mi pagina de Facebook, mi amiga y excompanera de estudios de la Universidad de Oriente, en Cuba,que trabaja en la UNAM, Mexico,la poetisa y editora Odette Alonso, que estan recaudando dinero para una cirugia de las manos de este estudiante en el extranjero), ellos no tienen la preocupacion que tienen ustedes en Honduras porque han sabido ser mas inteligentes y educados pese a miles de problemas y contradicciones del sistema cubano que nadie esta obligado a copiar al calco pues cada pueblo tiene sus propias caracteristicas y geopolitica.

Hasta donde yo supe, en Cuba, los militares tenian, hace anos, todos los equipos que ustedes usan y mucho mas sofisticados, pero todo eso cogia moho en los almacenes ya que despues que se compro se llego a la conclusion de que jamas tendrian que usarlos, pienso, que posiblemente lo hayan ya vendido todo a precio de ganga para recaudar divisas a los menos favorecidos por Palas Atenea en algun rincon oscuro del mundo, en que se requiere usar esos equipos y esa fuerza desmedida para mantener el orden, como ha pasado en Honduras.

South Korean envoy stresses ‘peaceful’ unification process

South Korea’s new ambassador to Qatar, Chang See-jeong, believes that a successful unification of the two Koreas should be done in a “well-planned” and peaceful manner even if the process took a longer time. He said the Koreans should learn from the experience of the German unification, which took place some two decades ago, when the two countries, having different forms of governments and economic levels, became one nation, respecting the aspiration of its citizens. Talking to Gulf Times on the sidelines of the three-day Korean film festival, the envoy, who came to Qatar last month, said that the unification of the two Korean nations “should be able to uphold the universal humane principles like freedom, democracy, market economy, human rights, etc ”. Asked about North Korea’s nuclear ambitions, the envoy said the irrevocable and complete denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula would be the first step to accomplish any meaningful progress towards stability in the region and the world. He recalled Korean President Lee Myung-bak’s suggestion of a one-shot approach, which involves the exchange of security assurance and economic aid corresponding to North Korea’s abandonment of the core areas of its nuclear programme. The proposal is called the “Grand Bargain.” He said that the recent resumption of negotiations between south and north Koreas on family unification “was a positive step that should be followed by others”.On relations with the North Korean government, he said that inter-Korean relations, from his country’s point of view, “are based on pragmatism”. Describing the South Korean-Qatari relations as promising, the ambassador said that his country was looking forward to enhance the trade volume between the two nations, estimated currently at $17bn. Korea is Qatar ’s second biggest trading partner, the envoy said. He said that the ties between the two countries “could further develop in all fields particularly because they have great potential based upon complementary economic and industrial structure.” He said that the Korean film festival was an opportunity to understand life in modern Korea . “Such events are necessary to introduce your culture to others,” he said. “Korean movies are very popular and strong. The gas can seep into houses through porous ground or through cracks and fissures. The more permeable the soil, the easier it is for radon to permeate into closed or badly ventilated areas.
The effects can be serious: around a tenth of Switzerland's 2,700 lung cancer deaths a year are caused by a prolonged exposure to radon.
Recent epidemiological studies carried out in Europe, the United States and China have shown that its victims are not just miners, as previously thought.

Y este es uno de los problemas "internos" de la politica en Latinoamerica que tarde o temprano desestabiliza un estado que pierde "guiro, calabaza y miel", como se dice en buen cubano, y de paso afecta la imagen de Suiza, pais donde no hay maldad para nadie, movimientos que se inician sobre bases ideologicas pero que paulatinamente, bajo un secuestro de la prensa y bajo tecnicas de AUTOGOLPES A LA CARTA por familias privilegiadas e intocables en el poder, se convierten en la voluntad de un clan de corruptos en el poder y de viejos hemiplejicos cuyo cerebro no da mas: como es el caso de Micheleti y sus "homologos" a quien deberian hacerle un escaner del cerebro, por la edad.

Humberto Solas ya hablo del problema en el filme "Un Hombre de Exito", referido a la mentalidad del pasado en quienes dicen dirigir el futuro pero lo niegan con ese lado oscuro de su propia vida personal que ocultan al pueblo como lo hizo Hitler y su sequito.

La paciencia se acabo, senores, mas les valdria,antes de volver a seguir dando pasos en falso, desentonando con la tecla equivocada el concierto, es mi consejo, por respeto a la edad y los meritos, pasar cuanto antes mejor a retiro, en paz y con el merito, a los decrepitos Micheletis latinoamericanos y sus homologos en la region ante los cuales se preparan ya, los que se cansaron de promesas incumplidas, a enfrentarlos, cada cual segun sus recursos, y metodos de inteligencia, para darle paso a las nuevas generaciones, mas frescas, menos vulnerables y con nuevas ideas e ideales eticos, antes que algo pase, y se cometan mas err0res propios de la edad y del vicio y usura del poder y la prebenda, y "arda Troya", cuando menos se lo esperen y mas seguros y confiados se sientan celebrando victorias pirricas propias del chovinismo local de la pobre y ya pequena plebe de poco cerebro que aun los admira.

Mientras que en Finlandia el gobierno se preocupa por darle internet a un cinco por ciento de la poblacion que por vivir en areas rurales remotas no tiene derecho real a la libertad de expresion, en America Latina, el panorama es real maravilloso a la manera de Alejo Carpentier que siempre dijo cuanto quiso decir, aqui vamos a todos los extremos, desde familias poderosas duenos de la mayoria de los medios con capacidad de botar periodistas disidentes hasta estados que llaman a una simple mujer disidente cuyo valor esta mas en su dignidad de mujer latinoamericana ante la censura, que en la politica en que de ambos bandos la intentan envolver como una "ayaca con picante" o tamal, como: "la chica de turno de La Casa Blanca", tamana torpeza en quienes se supone un mayor vuelo intelectual y humano en el siglo de la informatica y las comunicaciones.

Lo mismo pasa con esos monopolios informativos latinoamericanos bajo el mando de una familia poderosa que todo lo dispone como en finca propia y mira a los periodistas como peones y capataces, usual, en toda America Latina, donde incluso mueren o son encarcelados o botados del cargo o puestos en otras funciones cuanto periodista molesta, mucho mas que hormigas si se decidieran a invadir un panal de abejas.Pasa peor en otras partes, diran algunos ingenuos, pero es un consuelo de tontos no ver la viga en el ojo propio y criticar la paja en el ajeno.?Acaso podra surgir la "Sofia" de "El Siglo de las Luces" o de Humberto Solas, contradictoria, irreverente, insuflando pasiones y el debate de ideas en el mediocre machismo patriarcal que heredamos como humeda cultura marginal que todo lo destruye ? No, "Sofia", si surge en America Latina, como ya paso en la novela de Carpentier, tendra que emigrar a Espana porque aqui en "indias" por cuantas mujeres de estatura surgen se sobran torquemadas, inquisiciones y guillotinas. partnership today announced the five exceptional women scientists who will
receive the 2010 L'OREAL-UNESCO Awards in the Life Sciences.
An international network of nearly 1,000 scientists nominates the candidates
for the awards and the five Laureates are then selected at a meeting of the
jury, presided over by Professor Gunter Blobel, Nobel Prize in Medicine 1999.
This year, the Laureate for North America is Professor Elaine Fuchs, Rebecca
C. Lancefield Professor of Mammalian Cell Biology and Development at The
Rockefeller University in New York. She is also a Howard Hughes Medical
Institute Investigator. Professor Fuchs was selected for her contributions to
our knowledge of skin biology and skin stem cells. Her research focuses on how
the skin and its hair follicles regenerate and maintain the balance of cell
loss and cell replacement. Professor Fuchs was also recently awarded the
National Medal of Science for her work.
Along with Professor Fuchs, the other 2010 For Women in Science Laureates
recognized for their scientific contributions are:

University in Egypt, for paving the way towards the development of a
vaccine against the tropical disease Schistomiasis/Bilharzia.

The awards ceremony honoring the Laureates will take place on March 4, 2010 at
UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. Each Laureate will receive US $100,000 in

Como el preciado amuleto protector que llevaban los grandes jefes mayas colgado al cuello hasta la muerte, es la UNAM de Mexico para latinoamericanos y espanoles el estandarte de cualquier cruzada por ganar el futuro para nuestras nuevas generaciones y es la garantia de un minimo aceptable de concordancias en la historicamente maltrecha relacion Norte-Sur desde los tiempos en que eramos una pobre imagen con calzones de Inglaterra y chaques de Paris. Alli, en la UNAM, se atesora la mas importante papeleria y documentacion de la cultura de origen latinoamericana, aun no investigada,entre ellas la de Jose Maria Heredia, el primero que hace un poema involucrando a las ciencias por la epoca en que Edgard Allan Poe dedicaba otro al mismo tema, y es la genesis, suma y reflejo, de nuestra identidad como latinoamericanos a partir de la identidad caribe y donde esta el brazo de la balanza que conmociona al mundo entero en el triangulo Mexico-Florida-Cuba y que incide no solo en la economia mundial y en las ideas, sino incluso en un area desde la cual se afecta el clima de toda la tierra, pero mas aun, como ninguna universidad del planeta es la UNAM la que virtualmente representa a toda IBEROAMERICA en la relacion Norte-Sur desde la epoca de Cristobal Colon.
Ahora me entero por el periodico madrileno "EL PAIS" que como los personajes de"El llano en llamas" de Juan Rulfo, el pasado glorioso de la UNAM en un futuro constara de personajes muertos que vagaran clamando glorias pasadas por sus venerables recintos y que los futuros graduados en vez de cantar el "gaudeamus igitur" entonaran como pequenas elites mediocres de afortunados los versos del Dante: "Dejad toda esperanza... emigremos", porque sencillamente como quien bota al inquilino que no paga la renta se le ha cortado el presupuesto a las ciencias condenando a la UNAM a una mediocre revalorizacion academica de presupuestos eticos y morales encartonados como pasaba antes del siglo XVIII en muchas universidades latinoamericanas que aun daban la retorica de antes de la peste bubonica en Europa.
Si el gobierno mejicano no puede con la carga economica de la UNAM y contemplamos los latinoamericanos pasivamente como se cae Troya porque erroneamente pensamos que es un asunto interno de los mejicanos, lloraremos como Moctezuma todos a Tenochtitlan y tarde o temprano algun tranochado Hernan Cortez nos volvera a meter en un "lecho de rosas" como le hicieron a Cautemoc, por indolentes e irresponsables ante el futuro de nuestra propia raza y parentesco ....................................................................................................................................................

En mi reciente viaje de diez dias a Cuba, viajando en una camioneta Jeep desde el aeropuerto de Holguin a Santiago de Cuba durante tres horas, vi cientos de campesinos bien vestidos y saludables a la orilla del camino vendiendo enormes pedazos de queso blanco, organico, hecho en casa por el equivalente a setenta centavos de dolar.Yo me asombre de que esto sucediera en Cuba a raiz de cuatro ciclones y me puse a pensar en la posibilidad de que miles de cubanos que tienen condiciones para hacerlo pudieran producir cientos de variedades de frutas en conserva, artesanalmente, debido a que el mecanismo estatal de frutas en conserva cubre la demanda con enlatados de altisimo precio para la poblacion, con alta calidad, pero con poca variedad.Hay decenas de productos cubanos que no se ven en el mercado debido a que el estado cubano impide su produccion artesanal en manos de particulares.Lo interesante radica en que estos productos en conserva que cubren carnes, viandas y frutos, casi siempre son elaborados a partir de la produccion que es deshechada por distintos motivos y que en vez de ser aprovechada por la poblacion, actualmente, y desde hace decadas, se bota a la basura o se le da a los cerdos.
Esto se demostro durante el ultimo golpe climatico que sufrio Cuba cuando miles de personas en la oscuridad de la noche se concentraron en los parques de los poblaciones afectadas a esperar la ayuda del gobierno porque no tenian nada,ni siquiera pan viejo guardado, lo habian perdido todo y para mayor desgracia no existian comidas en conserva(que se preservan en pomos y cajas de madera u hojas de plantas, hechas de manera artesanal, ni siquiera pequenas fabricas artesanales de estos productos a nivel de barrio que facilmente son elaborados por productores privados o particulares, muchas veces hasta sin energia electrica, este hecho puso en tension a todo el estado cubano que de otra manera hubiera encontrado soluciones locales mientras se restablecia el sistema a traves de la red municipal de produccion privada artesanal, y lo cierto es que una islita pobre del caribe nunca sabe cuando fallara o particular un suministrador del exterior, bien por una guerra, por un golpe del clima o por una inesperada conmocion social interna debio a un desastre economico, ni cuando fallara una maquinaria estatal que siempre depende de determinadas importaciones, de manera que las producciones artesanales en manos privadas constituyen una respuesta inmediata, flexible, alternativa, incluso si el estado se paraliza por un motivo inesperado para darle abrigo y comida a la poblacion afectada antes de que llegue la ayuda estatale internacional, incluso es una forma idonea de cubrir el mercado en la economia interna cuando falten determinadas importaciones ya que una red municipal de particulares responde inmediatamente a la demanda de productos como es incapaz de hacerlo un estado por si mismo.En Cuba junto al aniquilamiento de la gestion privada acabaron con la conserva de guayaba,de mango, con el turron de mani, la conserva de maranon azucarados y miles de tipos de comidas y frutas hechas en pequenas procesadoras artesanales de productores particulares o privados que en decenios jamas se volvieron a ver y que hubieran resuelto millones de problemas, entre ellas la de evitar que el estado se convierta en un cuerpo de bomberos como suele suceder casi siempre que hay un problema con la comida en cualquier islita pobre del caribe.Y no solo la comida, sino ropas, zapatos, articulos de cocina y miles de utensilio pueden surgir como alternativa a partir de estas producciones locales de particulares aliviando las importaciones, agilizando la economica interna y como estrategia ante la paralisis del estado por fenomenos inesperados, como ya se ha experimentado, y puede ocurrir algo mucho peor y totalmente inesperado.

Aunque en Cuba no exista un decreto ley que establezca un plazo de 24 horas para que los organismos estatales pongan los alimentos producidos en el mercado o de lo contrario el productor estara obligado a comercializarlos a traves de mercados particulares o privados como base para mantener la economia interna funcionando, este decreto tendra que ser formulado tarde o temprano debido a que cada dia son mayores los niveles de produccion de alimentos en la isla y mucho menor la respuesta de la infraestrucutura estatal responsable de la perdida de alimentos y el congelamiento de la economia interna que desvaloriza aun mas el peso cubano y aumenta la deuda externa del pais.Esto es facil de ver si analizamos los reportajes de los periodicos cubanos "Granma" y "Juventud Rebelde" donde los periodistas, como si llenaran un formulario conocido por anos de lo mismo, se hacen las mismas preguntas sobre cosechas que se pierden y que cuando llegan al mercado tienen mala calidad y alto precio por errores de transportacion, almacenamiento y envase basado en los errores que se comenten en manos exclusivamente del estado y su burocracia.Por ejemplo, este articulo sobre el tema termina con estas interrogantes:

HAVANA — Cuba has acknowledged its first deaths from swine flu, saying three pregnant women succumbed to the virus and many more have been treated for symptoms.
Deputy Health Minister Jose Angel Portal said a total of 2,100 pregnant women were treated for symptoms of the disease, with 110 of them seriously ill, in comments reported by the official Communist Party newspaper, Granma, on Saturday.
He said three pregnant women died of the disease, according to Granma.
The report does not say how many women remain hospitalized, nor make clear whether all of the 2,100 cases were confirmed to be H1N1.
The communist government has said it will use everything at its disposal to fight swine flu — including calling in the armed forces — but it has expressed deep reservations about global plans to use a vaccine, which is currently being rolled.
Cuban health officials have said that that program will be costly and could also be ineffective, since the virus could easily mutate and make any vaccine obsolete.
The article said there are now 621 confirmed cases — including 177 children — in the country of more than 11 million people.
Most of the early cases of swine flu were among visitors to the island, but Granma said the number of Cubans coming down with the virus was rising.
Swine flu, first identified in April, is a global epidemic. The World Health Organization says there have been more than 375,000 loboratory confirmed cases and over 4,500 deaths linked to the illness. But many countries have stopped counting individual cases.

A national study lists Hawaii among 15 states that could run out of hospital beds during the peak of a swine flu outbreak, but local health industry officials say it does not take into account years of disaster preparations in the islands.
Trust for America's Health based its report, "H1N1 Challenges Ahead," on 35 percent of Americans potentially becoming sick from the H1N1 influenza (swine flu) virus.
Using FluSurge data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the organization estimated 6,410 islanders could require hospitalization for the H1N1 virus, filling 66 percent of the state's hospital beds.
"I would like to see the information validated by the CDC before getting too worked up about it," said George Greene, president and chief executive of the Healthcare Association of Hawaii.
"We do have an overall disaster preparedness plan in place in the state," he said, adding that the association, representing all Hawaii hospitals and health care providers, has worked on the plan with county, state, federal and private agencies.
"We have planned for most, if not all, possible contingencies and scenarios," including disasters from earthquakes and hurricanes to flu pandemics, he said.

HMSA OFFERS FREE ONLINE CARE VISITThe Hawaii Medical Service Association is offering every resident one online care visit at no cost "to keep people healthy," said HMSA spokeswoman Laura Lott.

The cost normally is $45 for a 10-minute visit for nonmembers and $10 co-pay for HMSA members.
Accessing a doctor or medical information online is a good alternative to going to a doctor's office, Lott said, pointing out people who are sick do not feel like driving in traffic, parking and waiting. "It's a great way to not risk infecting others or becoming infected."

H1N1 is considered a fairly mild strain of flu. Of 10 Hawaii deaths linked with the virus since May 5, eight had underlying medical problems, according to the Health Department.
State health and hospital officials are emphasizing public education to avoid overwhelming hospitals, clinics and doctors' offices unnecessarily. Part of the program is "to educate people on an appropriate place for care if they believe they are infected," Greene said.
State Health Director Chiyome Fukino said the department has been talking to physicians and community health centers. "I think doctors have a much better understanding that at a time of emergency there have to be changes in the way we normally practice."
Elective procedures probably will have to be postponed when hospitals are full, she said, "and we probably will be looking at more care to be delivered in home settings. Any system, no matter how well prepared, can be overcome by high volume. We all expect that."
She said larger clinics may have to be held to distribute vaccines and medications, "and we will have to do a lot of answering questions for the worried well" so they do not show up in emergency rooms.
"If we provide access to reasonable information in a timely fashion, that will go a long way in helping the public understand what they can do to protect themselves and stay healthy," Fukino said.
Hawaii hospitals generally are crowded, largely because of long-term care patients ready for discharge with no place to put them in the community.
"You can't reserve 20 percent of beds," Fukino pointed out. "It's not cost- effective."
However, she said, the Healthcare Association's Emergency Management Program has placed 20-bed portable hospital systems on all islands, as well as caches of prepackaged equipment, beds and supplies for alternate care sites.
Toby Clairmont, Healthcare Association of Hawaii emergency program manager, is in American Samoa as leader of the Hawaii Medical Disaster Assistance Team. But he told the Star-Bulletin last year, "Whenever the Department of Health or anyone says we've got a bunch of sick people and we need to set up something at a school, mall or the convention center, we have all the material prepackaged."
