The Honorary Chair of Canadian Studies at the University Saíz Brothers Montes de Oca was created here by ministerial decision, with the presence of Second Secretary, Embassy of Canada in Cuba and representatives of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) in Vueltabajo. Marc Antoine Dumas, second secretary of the Embassy of that country, he stressed that this chair is the seventh of its kind to be created in the eighth-Cuban universities opened in Camaguey, as a show of solidarity and to strengthen ties friendship between Canada and Cuba. Highlighted the cooperation between both countries and the preference of Canadians for Cuban tourism, as reflected in the 818 000 passengers in your country who enjoyed last year in the island. Dr. Andres Erasmo Rojas, president of the University vueltabajera read the ministerial decision that allows principals to create chairs that encourage the development of academic and university extension.
